The AGO monitoring team conducted a quick survey on private property in the GECKO Conservancy and were thrilled to find one female along with A34.
Grass Owls are vulnerable and uncommon residents and are under further pressure from loss of suitable habitat through development, winter fires and drainage. They are strictly nocturnal and more often than not, confused with Marsh Owls which are often seen in similar habitat
