26 December 2023 - Hermanus; Day 5
The wind was still pumping when we woke, so we postponed our day drive to Cape Agulhas. I had a morning walk around our accommodation and discovered our neighbour had a sugar feeder in their garden. This attracted the Sugarbird's and I managed a few images, as they came off the feeders

Mid-morning we explored the Hemel and Aarde Valley finding only one wine farm open - so, of course we had to stop and check it out. It was the farm that makes our favourite Chardonnay, so luck was on our side and we enjoyed most of the afternoon with some tastings and a decent platter
Late afternoon, I took a drive up Rotary Way to the few view sites on the top of the Overberg overlooking Hermanus.

At this elevation the wind was even stronger - I tried to do some birding, but it was futile. So, I just soaked in the scenery and view - they fynbos was in full flower and is pretty spectacular

Whilst the little church on that is on Hamilton Russel farm is very picturesque
