29 August 2023 - Ngwenya and Kruger National Park; Day 5
Although we were up early, there was a lot more traffic this morning at Croc Bridge Gate and it took us 30-minutes to get through. We headed west on the S25 with Afsaal our destination for coffee and roosterbrood. It was a long drive with very little to show in terms of wildlife, which was really surprising and disappointing, as this road is normally very productive.
We did have a Lesser Honeyguide perched out in the open

and in a burnt section a few Senegal Lapwing

The coffee couldn't come soon enough after a long drive. From Afsaal, we headed south to Malelane and made a detour on the S121 (we should have taken the S188 and S119 as we later found out) and again no game of significance seen. We exited the Park and drove back to Ngwenya on the N4.
Later in the afternoon, I enjoyed a walk around the Lodge grounds, finding Ashy Flycatcher
