Return to Ngwenya

26 August 2022 - Ngwenya Lodge; Day 1

Amazing how time flies and already it was time to head back to our timeshare at Ngwenya for a week's break in the bush. We had an early start and a leisurely drive, stopping for breakfast and some shopping along the way.

Luckily we were able to check-in early and it wasn't long before we were sitting on the patio, enjoying a cold one whilst enjoying the view over the Crocodile River and the Kruger Park.

Later in the afternoon, we had a short walk, finding skittish African Firefinch near reception

and a gorgeous male Spectacled Weaver proudly perched next to his fresh nest

Spectacled Weaver (Ploceus ocularis)

It was then time to start a fire and enjoy our first sundowners of the trip
