03 January 2022 - Plettenberg Bay; Day 12
On our penultimate day, I had another quick early morning and solo drive toward Emily Moon. First stop was near the local sewage works where I found a few Cape Teal

Further down the road, Black Saw-wings were feeding up and down the sand road

In the extensive reed beds on the road, a male Yellow Bishop made a brief appearance

Whilst checking the Bishop, a Levaillant's Cisticola landed on the overhead line

Heading back to the main road, I stopped at the stand of large Eucalyptus Trees to check for Sooty Falcon - but it was long shot. I did however get a Brown-backed Honeybird on the telephone line which was unexpected.

It was then back to the apartment to start the reluctant task of packing for the return to Jozi. We had planned to leave at 4am the next morning and drive straight through after what has been a most enjoyable and relaxing holiday at the coast.
