01 January 2022 - Plettenberg Bay; Day 10
Mid-morning we got the call from the Clinic that yesterday's test was positive. In a way we were blessed to have very mild symptoms's and rather this variant than Delta. But we still had to isolate as best we could for the remaining few days of our holiday.
In the late afternoon, I had a solo walk to explore the grounds around the 1870 Church a block away from our apartment and to get some fresh sea air whilst many others enjoyed a new years day celebrations on all the beaches
As before, quite a number of Amethyst Sunbird's on some of the flowering shrubs

In the Church grounds, I found a vocal Fork-tailed Drongo

After 10-days, I had my first and only Olive Thrush which was a surprise

Walking back to the apartment, a Brimstone Canary feeding in some flowers on the pavement

We then spent a quiet evening in the apartment, as expected.
